CANINE HERITAGE BREED TEST

By checking the box on the order submission form you are acknowledging that you have read, understand, and agree to the provided terms and conditions. You recognize that The Canine Heritage Breed Test can only identify the listed breeds. Due to the genetic complexity of a mixed breed dog, the total number of identified breeds may vary and the possibility of not being able to identify any breeds can occasionally occur.

Because of inherent genetic randomness, a dog's visual appearance may vary from the breed(s) identified in the reported results. Such occurrences will not result in the issuance of a refund.
All sales are final once services are rendered and results provided.

The Canine Heritage Breed Test is not designed for use as a purebred or paternity verification test and is not an established legal tool. A kennel or breed club certifies a dog's breed based on pedigree documentation. If necessary, kennel and breed clubs use legally recognized DNA paternity testing to verify relationship. These tests use a different type of DNA analysis than the Canine Heritage Breed Test. MMI Genomics, Inc. ("MMIG") also offers paternity testing, for more information about this service please click here.

The Canine Heritage Breed Test is for determining breed composition only. An individual may be able to infer health, personality, or behavior of a dog from the general characteristics of the identified breed(s). Individual results may vary, consult your veterinarian for issues relating to your pet's health and breed.

Currently the Canine Heritage Breed Test is sold only in the U.S. and Canada. The Canine Heritage Breed Test was developed and validated using United States dog breed populations. Breeds outside the United States and Canada may not be represented or identified by the Canine Heritage Breed Test

UPGRADES
Due to the unknown nature of a pet's breed composition, MMIG cannot guarantee that additional breeds will be found in your pet. Due to the laboratory time required for the retesting process, refunds will not be provided. In some cases, results may vary from the 38 breed test as the XL test matches specific breeds for which the 38 breed test could only identify related breeds.

RETURNS
All returns or refunds are subject to a restocking fee of 15%. Any shipping charges incurred to return a product are the responsibility of the customer.

CONFIDENTIALITY & PRIVACY
MMIG. will exercise due care to keep the results of any testing confidential, unless otherwise specified, on the Order. MMIG will not sell, rent or share personal information with non-affiliated companies, groups or individuals.

USE OF MATERIAL
MMIG may freely use your sample, sample information, pet's photo and the information derived from it for it's marketing, sales and general research purposes in the development of new or advanced products and services. Your sample may be disposed or stored (at MMIG's option) and will not be returned.

DISCLAIMER AND LIMITATION OF REMEDIES
You understand and agree that (a) no analytical test is 100% accurate; (b) MMIG is not responsible for any inference, about an animal, made by the customer based on provided results; (c) a dog may contain breed(s) that have not been validated. Canine Heritage Breed Test can only determine if any of the listed identifiable breeds make-up your pet's breed composition. If your pet's composition contains non-validated breed(s) the test may identify a breed earlier in your dog's ancestry. This may cause the identification of apparent unlikely breeds for your animal's breed composition; (d) mixed breed dogs may or may not have identifiable features specific to a particular breed. Breeds identified by this test may or may not be easily identifiable by phenotype. You further agree that final results of analysis under these Terms shall be submitted to you in writing, unless otherwise specified on the Order. Any and all results provided in a form other than that specified on the Order shall be deemed preliminary and non-binding.

Endorsements

"The Canine Heritage Breed Test is one of the most innovative products I have seen in years. I am a huge proponent of adoption, so my four legged family comes from shelters and breed rescue groups. Finding out what breeds are in my dog's genetic makeup has not only satisfied my curiosity, but given me invaluable health and behavioral information."
